HUNGRY – THIRSTY
- We operate an emergency food pantry that is stocked by donations from individuals, churches, corporations, and grants. We provide Senior Food Boxes that are delivered by the Auglaize County Council on Aging. We also give weekend food backpacks to children in our local area.
- We provide emergency shelter and emergency housing for those stranded away from home and homeless.
- We give good clean clothing to families facing emergencies such as disaster victims, the homeless, victims of domestic violence, new releases from jail or prison, and families in crisis.
- We are able to help with emergency prescriptions. We assist with finding sources that will provide prescription assistance free or at very little cost to those who qualify.
- Through a cooperative relationship with the Auglaize County Sherriff’s Office, we provide financial assistance to support a chaplaincy team. This team conducts church services, Bible studies and Celebrate Recovery.

Show up during walk-in pantry hours and please bring:
1.Picture ID
2.Proof of residence – official mail, current utility bill, rent receipt or benefit letters
3.Income and expense info for everyone in your household

What kind of food do you give away and is it really free?
We place high priority on making wholesome, nutritious foods available and provide a nutritionally balanced grocery order to every family at no cost.
Where does the food come from that you distribute?
People like you! Mercy Unlimited relies on grants, private and corporate donations, as well as sales in the Thrift Store to fund our food ministry. We are not supported by government monies or food commodities.
I want to donate to
the pantry, how can I do that and what do you need?
Fresh non-perishable foods, dairy items, frozen foods, peanut butter and meats as well as produce are welcome. Personal hygiene, cleaning products, diapers and baby items are also appreciated. Your monetary donations allow us to fill gaps as necessary. Anything you use is helpful.
Donations are received in the rear 9am-4:30 Monday through Saturday
My group or workplace would like to hold a drive or event, is that ok?
YES, that is awesome!! We love it when anyone wants to support us. We also have volunteer opportunities at established events and serving our clients. If you need ideas or help give us a call.
How much of my donation will really help someone?
91 cents of every dollar donated last year provided assistance for people in need. Only 9 % is for administrative costs.

For those who are incarcerated, we have a chaplain at the county jail and offer Celebrate Recovery. We also provide aftercare to prisoners after they are released. We assist veterans with a variety of services and referrals. We can assist you in finding a church. And last, but not least we distribute Bibles to those in need. If we do not offer assistance in certain areas, we have lots of resources and agencies we can refer you to.
